AFF in a Nutshell
The vision is to see more successful African designers in the global fashion industry and luxury market. Their mission is to provide the highest quality of opportunities and experiences to the African designers included in AFF, which will help to cultivate their careers and align their accomplishments with other leading designers. AFF creates new and sustainable jobs and enhances the attractiveness of African countries for international business as a result of the development of African designers and creative industries; ultimately boosting Africa’s economic reputation and strengthening its position in the global economy.
AFF Support Program
3 – 6 months of hands-on experience learning about textile and garment design, manufacturing, quality assurance and control, and technologies from global fashion brands in NYC or D.C.
Guidance for professional development from premiere players in the luxury fashion industry.
Financial assistance to advance business skills and develop fashion collections.
Rare opportunities to participate in and feature work at well-attended industry events.
Topical, substantive courses for continuing professional studies.
